Over the past two and a half years, I studied for graduate school at Texas Christian University and worked at the university’s Writing Center as a tutor and classroom writing associate. During my time as a tutor, I refined my skills in many areas of study (e.g., undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels of writing; resumes and cover letters; APA, MLA, and Chicago styles; and papers regarding topics that ranged from creative fiction to scientific research). I have presented at a writing center conference on how to incorporate counseling skills into the tutoring relationship. Additionally, I have edited many business reports for a professor and have proofread many psychological reports for a licensed psychologist. Overall, I learned how to tutor, edit, and proofread—the specialties I am now making available to clients.
